Catbells via Ferry Family Walk

The Route:
From Crow Park we will catch the Keswick launch to Hawse End, taking the path from Hawse End to the path at the foot of Catbells we will climb south following the ridge over Skelgill Bank climbing the fine ridge with wonderful views over Derwentwater and the Newlands Valley before climbing to the summit of Catbells.
Our descent from Catbells will bring us to Hause Gate from here we will descend east to Manesty and then down to the shores of Derwent Water following the lakeshore path north to the jetty at Brandlehow Bay where we will catch the launch back to Keswick and Crow Park. You will need to purchase your Launch ticket on the day.

Where to Meet:
The KMF Festival Village can be easily found on Crow Park, opposite the Theatre by the Lake, a short walk from the centre of Keswick, we will meet at the Adventure Hub.

Equipment:
A printed map and route card for the days walk is provided for each client so that they can follow the days progress.

Each client is expected to bring suitable personal equipment, this should include the following:
Walking Boots / Walking shoes
Waterproof clothing (Jacket and trousers)
Suitable warm clothing for walking (no jeans)
Warm tops
Water
Warm hat
Gloves
