KMF Charity Hike Challenge sponsored by Visit Andorra

Category:

Along with our friends at Visit Andorra we are introducing a new challenge for 2017 - a circumnavigation of Derwentwater. There are 2 routes available. The high level route is a challenging but glorious walk, taking you over Walla Crag and Catbells where you should be treated to magnificent views. The walk is 7&1/2 miles (12km) and will take between 4 and 6 hours to walk. The low level walk follows the route of the Derwentwater footpath and as such is more family friendly. There are plenty of beautiful picnic spots along this scenic 10 mile path and we would expect this to be completed in around 5 hours.

These routes are all self guided but you will be provided with maps and instructions and there are a number of way markers on the route. And you will of course receive a certificate once you have completed your challenge.

The challenge costs £10 per person to enter and 50% of this (less VAT) goes directly to the National Trust and their conservation work in Borrowdale (see here for more information http://www.keswickmountainfestival.co.uk/visitor-info/national-trust/)
