NWUK Learn to Nordic Walk course

Nordic Walking is the most effective way to exercise outdoors – it literally turns a walk into a workout which works the whole body and adds tone as well as cardiovascular fitness. It replicates the actions used on a cross training machine but with a pair of specially designed walking poles and specific technique which you need to learn in order to get maximum results. Once you have tried it, you will never walk without poles again because you feel light on your feet, can walk further and faster and burn more calories per step too!

This is your opportunity to join qualified NWUK Instructor Nicola Sproson who operates in the Lake District for a fast track nordic walking tuition course. Nics will make sure that you cover all of the elements included in the standard Nordic Walking UK induction but in a short intensive but inspirational 2 part course over 2 days. You will get to experience the NWUK 4 gear programme and to practice in the amazing surroundings of the Festival and Nics will issue you a FREEDOM Passport so you can book into walks anywhere in the UK too.

Poles will be provided so all you need is a good pair of flexible soled shoes and clothing suitable for the weather on the day.
