Bike Night - Thurs
Get ready for an evening packed with biking magic. Steve Razzetti will be telling tales about his new book Great Cycle Journeys of the World, you can quiz Paul Errington about his adventures in the hottest, coldest and highest
bike races on a single speed bike. Three key figures from the industry will be in discussion – Hope Tech, Orange Mountain Bikes and Pace Cycles and watch the latest films from the Banff Film Tour.
Borrowdale Bash – Fri
A Lakeland Classic taking the road up to Watendlath along the Borrowdale Valley, then an awesome descent down to Rosthwaite. The road goes to Seatoller then a fantastic bridleway to Grange – Cat Bells – Portinscale – Keswick.
Lonscale Fell and Latrigg - Sat/Sun
You can test out the latest bikes from the Bike Village and go for a spin around Lonscale Fell and Latrigg. Keswick, Railway Line, Threlkeld, Blease Road, loop round on Lonscale Fell, Latrigg, Keswick. Time approx 2 hours.
LikeaBike - Fri/Sat/Sun
Cyclewise will be offering have a go sessions on the popular LIKEaBIKE; the best wooden and aluminium balance bikes in the world. They come in a range of sizes from toddlers to small adults. Come along to the Bike Village and try these on for free.
Skiddaw Loop – Thurs
This is a Lakeland Classic going clock wise from Keswick around Skiddaw taking in; Mire House, Peter House Farm, Dash Falls, Skiddaw House, Lonscale Fell, Latrigg. Time approx 3 – 4 hours.
Sportive – Sat
New sportive taking in some challenging & spectacular Lakeland climbs.
The main route comprises the passes of Whinlatter, Newlands & Honister each climbed twice & from a different direction.
There are three routes to choose from:
1 – 105k/65m 3,140m/10,300′ 6 passes
2 – 90k/56m 2,700m/8,860′ 4 passes
3 – 46k/28m 1,290m/4,230 2 passes
Entry includes – entry, electronic timing, feed stations, maps & route cards, mechanical support, meal voucher, sports nutrition & finishers memento.
Trailquest Event – Sun
A mountain bike orienteering event that will test your navigation and biking skills. This event is for all abilities as you decide on the route you ride.
