There will be a Paddle area at this year’s event, you will be able to try out the latest boats in the demo area in Derwentwater. Plus chat to brandsabout all the new gear, have a paddle around the lake of book and activity with a local provider.
Some of the activities that are being provided are listed below:
Canoe and Kayak on Lake – Weds/Thurs/Fri
Have fun learning the basics of canoeing and kayaking on Derwentwater and land on an island on the lake.
Canoe and Kayak Taster Sessions Fri-Sun
Pyranha and Venture Canoes and Kayaks will be providing taster sessions during the Festival weekend for people interested in taking their first stokes in a kayak or canoe.
Sessions will take place on a first come first served basis so get there early to avoid disappointment!
Derwentwater by Open Canoe – Sat/Sun
This is an amazing opportunity to explore Borrowdale from that other viewpoint…its stunning lake, Derwentwater. Our open canoes are comfortable and stable and are perfect for novices and those with some experience alike. We are fully qualified and very experienced canoeing instructors and will help you learn a few strokes and guide you on an exploration of some of Derwentwaters hidden bays and isolated islands.
We provide all the safety equipment and will send you a suggested clothing list on booking.
