This lecture covers the great climbs he has done beyond Everest, all of them first ascents in the greater ranges.
He starts with his epic first ascent and descent of the Ogre in Pakistan, when Doug Scott broke both legs, he broke his ribs and they all went without food for five days in a descent in a savage storm. The mountain only had its second ascent in 2003 after twenty attempts!!
He goes on with the first ascent of Kongur, at the time second highest unclimbed peak in the world, his alpine style ascent of Shivling in the Indian Himalaya, Panch Chuli II and Drang Nag Ri. He also describes the third ascent of Mount Vinson , highest peak in Antarctica and his voyage to Greenland with the famous sailor Robin Knox Johnston and his attempt on the Cathedral a magnificent peak above the Arctic Circle .
He takes his audience up to the present day when he is still tackling unclimbed peaks in the Himalaya.
