Drawing Competition
The Cumberland Ale Keswick Mountain Festival and The Cumberland Pencil Museum have come together this year to hold a Drawing Competition, open to all ages of artists.
We are inviting artists to share with us an image of, “Keswick The Outdoor Capital of Britain”, and The home of the Cumberland Pencil Company makers of Derwent Fine Art Pencils, and The Cumberland Pencil Museum.

“Keswick The Outdoor Adventure Capital of Britain”
The outstanding landscape of the North Lakes with its wild places, high mountains, rivers and lakes makes it the perfect destination for adventurous and outdoor activities.
Your entry will be judged on excitement, the landscape and feel for adventure. It can include any activities associated with Keswick and the Lake District, Such as; Climbing, Walking, Canoeing, Sailing, Paragliding, Wildlife and Conservation.

Competition rules
All work must be done in Coloured Pencil, Watercolour Pencil, Charcoal or Pastel
Maximum size for entries A3 (297mm x 420mm)
Please read the following rules carefully before submitting your drawing:
1. Closing date for entries is Tuesday 6th May 2008.
2. All work must be executed in coloured Pencil, Watercolour Pencil, Charcoal or Pastel
3. Maximum size for entries: A3 (297mm x 420mm).
4. Entries must be submitted unframed in a stiffened envelope or suitably packed.
5. If you require your drawing to be returned, please supply a stamped addressed envelope. (Please check the new stamp and envelope prices.)
6. Every care will be taken of entries, but the organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage during transit, incoming or outgoing, while on the organisers premises or while being judged or exhibited?
7. The prizes must be taken as stated.
8. Final judging will take place on Thursday 8th May. The winners will be announced on Wednesday 14th May.
9. Winners will be notified within 14 days of the judging.
10.Age categories under 7 years, 7 years to 16 years, and over 16 years of age, (as at 6th May 2008).
