Julia Bradbury to headline at the 2008 Cumberland Ale Keswick Mountain Festival
Julia Bradbury who recently brought the Wainwright walks back to life with BBC 4 and presented the series Outdoor Britain will be the headline speaker at this year's festival. World famous mountaineers Chris Bonington and Doug Scott will be sharing some of their legendary adventures. Andy Kirkpatrick and Mick Fowler will be telling humorous and epic tales of climbing.
Activity Base on Crow Park
The National Trust as supporters of the Festival are enabling us to host an Activity Base on Crow Park throughout the event. This will be full of activities and demonstrations for you and your family to try out and watch. Some of the things you can try include the Royal Marines climbing wall, a zip wire, slacklining, archery, canoeing, and much more. Many of the daily activities will be starting from here and it will be a place to meet and chat about your adventures and get a true feel of all the adventures on offer. Once you have soaked up the atmosphere on the park you can amble across to the Theatre by the Lake, relax and be inspired listening to others' adventures.
