If you are a would be traveller or new to the outdoor world then there is no better time to rub shoulders with and be inspired by famous climbers, mountaineers, adventure racers and explorers. Water Activities

If getting wet is your main objective then ghyll scrambling is just for you! Or why not venture out onto the lake on a canoe or kayak, either way you are guaranteed to make a bit of a splash! View Activities

Mountain Biking & Bike Village

Come along and try out demonstration bikes, join a guided ride, or bring the kids and do a family treasure hunt by bike. You can watch the latest stunts then let the qualified riders teach you the basics, or go and improve your skills on the new Altura trail at Whinlater. View Activities

Sporting Events

The Keswick Triathlon is a chance to test yourself to your limits. It starts with a somewhat chilly 750m swim in Derwent Water, then a 35km cycle, and a 10km run along the scenic Walla Crag. 300 people took part in the event last year and survived to tell the tale. Other challenges include - the Derwent Watershed Hiking Challenge, a fell race up Latrigg or bike orienteering trail quests, the Open 5+ or Salomon’s 10km Forest Trail Race!! View Activities

Family Activities

New ideas for 2009 include an adventure race for kids - or you could try out many of the Ghyll scrambles, canoe or climbing days. Either way they are sure to challenge the whole family and give you the opportunity to try something new in a safe environment with qualified guides. View Activities
