From golden gorse in a carpet of bluebells to the summit of Rannerdale Knott (353m high) this delightful spring time walk is a little gem in the Buttermere Valley. A combination of river and lakeside walking and a steep (but short!) climb to the summit of Rannerdale Knott leads to a grassy ridge with views up the Buttermere Valley to Haystacks and Great Gable as well as down the valley over Crummock Water towards the coast.
