Enjoy easy scrambling in an exciting rocky environment together with a wild grassy fell strewn with delightful tarns and rocky outcrops. In an area with such well trodden paths as the routes to Styhead and Esk Hause it is hard to imagine that there are routes where you are unlikely to meet anyone else all day. On this walk we will cross the main routes rather than follow them! Highlights are the scramble up beside Taylor Force, exploring the virtually pathless Seathwaite Fell and climbing Great End by its north ridge described by Wainwright as the very best way of climbing Great End.
