This half-day workshop is aimed at enthusiast photographers who want to learn from a professional outdoor photographer. The workshop will include tuition on creative use of shutter speeds to control movement, creative use of apertures to control depth of field, successful image structure and lighting and the use of daylight-balanced fill-in flash for outdoor subjects. These tools are discussed and demonstrated and you will have the opportunity to make some great photographs with a professional photographer standing by your side to offer all the tips and advice you'll need. You'll learn how the pros get the results that they do and pick up some ideas for making your own images good enough to frame and put on your wall!
The workshop will be based from Watendlath Village, in Borrowdale (drive up past Ashness Bridge in Borrowdale and keep going to the end of the road). The workshop will make use of a variety of viewpoints, features and subjects in and around Watendalth Tarn and surrounding hills. Dress for the hill and try to bring a tripod if you have one. Bring snacks and drinks.
