Mark Beaumont

Talks and Films

Mark Beaumont is a legendary ultra endurance athlete who has cycled around the world twice, both times smashing the circumnavigation World Record. 10 years ago he finished the challenge in 194 days and, inspired by the classic Jules Verne adventure novel, set out to complete it again last year in less than 80 days. Mark covered an average of 240 miles per day throughout his latest trip and finished it last September in less than 79 days!

Mark will be sharing some inspiring anecdotes about his 80-day challenge. We’ll also hear about the epic documentaries he has made, which have seen him visit over 100 countries, the Arctic, the high mountains and around the Commonwealth, as well as surviving capsize in the mid-Atlantic.
