Berghaus logo

In 1966, outdoor wear as we know it didn’t really exist. Then Berghaus came along.

It all began when climbers and mountaineers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison from the North East of England, frustrated by what they saw as a lack of decent outdoor gear, decided to import and sell their own.

Their specialist outdoor store in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, went by the name of the LD Mountain Centre and quickly gained a reputation for selling the very best in high-performance outdoor products from the likes of Atomic Skis, Marker Bindings and Nordica Ski

So successful was the LD Mountain Centre that Lockey and Davison soon began to design, test and make their own gear for sale in the shop. This high-quality, innovative clothing range, inspired by what climbers actually wanted and needed, was called Berghaus. And so began the Berghaus brand.

Timothy Taylor’s logo

Timothy Taylor’s is an independent, family owned brewery based on the Knowle Spring in Keighley. We have over 150 years of brewing experience and are renowned for the quality of our award-winning beer. Our cask conditioned beers consist of Landlord, Boltmaker, Golden Best, Dark Mild, Ram Tam and we have recently launched Knowle Spring Blonde .

We can’t put the unique taste of Timothy Taylor’s beer down to any single thing. It’s the result of years of hard work, skill and doing things the hard way because we think it makes the difference.

Taking extra time, care and pride in traditional, hands-on brewing, and making no compromises when it comes to ingredients. Our 5 highly trained brewers still brew all our beer by hand and taste test every batch at least three times. Our Knowle Spring brewery sits on a natural artesian well, which provides a constant water, unique to Taylor’s, that has been filtered through layers of limestone and black rock. Knowle Spring water is naturally soft and very pure.

Its consistency is one of the reasons we are able to produce beers of such reliable quality and flavour. We only use Golden Promise barley. It’s the highest-grade barley you can use for brewing beer.

We’re one of the last brewers in Britain to still use whole leaf hops. They cost more and take more looking after but we think they’re vital to the flavour of our beer. Our unique strain of yeast is over 1800 generations old and combines perfectly with our water and barley. It’s appropriately called Taylor’s Taste.

It’s quite rare these days, but we still use a hop-back stage. This allows us to extract the most subtle flavours and aromas from the oils of the hops.

All for that taste of Taylor’s.

Top Munro creates Mountain Trumps card games for hill-walkers including Top Wainwright, this summer’s major new release! Packs are available for the Lake District fells, the Scottish Munros and the hills of Wales including all the 3000s. Our cards suggest a route for each hill to be climbed, often including neighbouring peaks, and the mountains and routes are scored on criteria including Height, Ascent, Difficulty, Distance, Popularity and a surprise sixth metric! The cards also include great photographs of the mountains and the card reverses each feature a map illustrating the location of the hill on the card.

Tuffbag logo

Tuffbag is a waterproof dry bag rucksack. The brand was founded by two Cumbrian fell-bred lads Lewis and Josh this year, it's their first outing so come by and say hi!

Whether it's hiking up the fells, messing about on the water, going out on bike rides or just your daily commute, no one likes ending up with soggy gear. Having grown up in the Lake District they know these problems first hand and decided to make a more versatile dry bag.

May we introduce you to their solution: Tuffbag!

Visit Andorra logo

From beautiful hikes and thrilling mountain biking, to adrenalin-fuelled via ferrata, climbing and canyoning, Andorra - the ‘Country of the Pyrenees’ - is jam-packed with outdoor adventures set against a spectacular mountain backdrop.

Nestled on the border between France and Spain, Andorra, the ‘Country of the Pyrenees’ is known internationally for its ski resorts, yet the rugged landscape, mountain lakes, steep valleys, and sub-Mediterranean climate make Andorra a great summer choice for active travellers.

The Pyrenean Principality offers some of Europe’s most beautiful walks, from gentle routes through flower-strewn valleys, to demanding hikes across rough terrain to a mountain lake with views into France and Spain. At almost 3,000m, the summit of Comapedrosa offers great views into both neighbouring France and Spain. Along the routes lie ‘refuges’, traditional mountain huts providing shelter and accommodation to hikers, many of which are free.

Andorra’s GRP route is a 120km hiking trail that encircles the entire country, encompassing most of the country’s hidden corners. Divided into seven stages of around 14km each and following hiking routes of varying difficulty and terrain, it usually takes between 4 to 6 days to walk the GRP – where else could you walk round a country in less than a week?!
