Although most legal restrictions have been lifted in England we are all being advised to be cautious. In line with Government recommendations for events we are asking all visitors and staff  to demonstrate their Covid status prior to entry in order to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infections.

All visitors aged 12 years and over must be able to demonstrate their Covid status, routine spot checks will be carried out at the Box Office, Wristband Exchange and Sports Registration by Festival Staff. If asked, you will need to be able to show ONE of the following:

  • Proof of full vaccination – both vaccines received at least 14 days prior to the Festival.
  • Proof of negative lateral flow test – taken within 24 hours of your arrival.
  • Proof of natural immunity following a positive PCR test (providing it has been at least 10 days since your PCR test and up to 180 days after taking the test)

Demonstrating Full Vaccination

You can do this by:

EITHER showing the vaccination record you received at the vaccination centre, it looks like this:

Covid_Vaccination_Record

OR you can show a Covid pass on the NHS app on your smartphone. Details of how to install this can be found here.

Please note, this is a different app to the NHS Test and Trace app.

Demonstrating a Negative Lateral Flow Test

Lateral flow tests can be obtained from your local pharmacy for free or can be ordered via the Government website.

Once you have taken the lateral flow test you must report this on the Government website here.

You can then show the result by:

EITHER showing the text or email confirmation you receive;

OR you can show a Covid pass on the NHS app on your smartphone. Details of how to install this can be found here.

Please note, this is a different app to the NHS Test and Trace app.

Demonstrating Natural Immunity

You must be able to show the result of a positive PCR test, taken between 11 and 180 days prior to arrival at the Festival.

For Those Living in Scotland or Wales

Please note, the NHS app is only available to those living in England. If you live in Scotland you can obtain your full vaccination status here.

If you live in Wales you can obtain your full vaccination status by following the instructions here.

If you have difficulties receiving your letter in time you can simply take a lateral flow test, record your result here and bring the email or text confirmation with you.

For Those Living Elsewhere

Please have evidence of having had 2 vaccinations or a negative lateral flow test, using the official certifications of your country.

What if I Arrive Without Being Able to Demonstrate My Covid Status?

We will have facilities onsite for you to be able to take a lateral flow test and you may be asked to do one of these. This will delay your entry into the Festival by at least 30 minutes.

What Precautions Do I Need to Take at the Festival?

Whilst the Festival is almost totally outdoors, and any indoor spaces will have extra ventilation, it is still sensible to take precautions.

Covid_Mask

Masks Welcome: face masks are not compulsory but they are encouraged and welcomed for those who would like to wear them. (Please note, all visitors to Theatre by the Lake are asked to wear a mask unless exempt).

Covid_Space

Make Space; there is plenty of space in the Festival Village so please ensure you have the space you need at all times, and please respect other people’s space.

Wash Hands: we have hand wash stations & hand sanitiser readily available and the cleaning of shared facilities will be enhanced throughout the festival weekend. Please wash your hands regularly, especially before & after using the toilets.

In addition to the above you  must NOT visit the Festival at all if you have tested positive for Covid-19. In addition, you must NOT attend if you have been told to self isolate or have any symptoms. The main symptoms of Covid-19 are the following: a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. See this NHS link for further information on what to do if you have symptoms.

If you develop symptoms whilst at the Festival you must leave immediately and get a test as soon as possible.

If you develop symptoms after the Festival and have a positive test result, you must let us know by emailing us at [email protected] so we can inform other visitors.

For more information please see the NHS website or Government website.
