We are British Canoeing, the national governing body for paddlesports in the UK.
We want to support and provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and realise their potential within all aspects of canoeing regardless of their age, background or ability.
British Canoeing use the term Paddle-Ability to refer to all activity for disabled people, be it specialist activity or as part of mainstream opportunities. The term Paddle-Ability focuses on a person’s ability to take part in paddlesport rather than their disability.
Paddle-Ability sessions enable disabled people to take part in activity with other disabled people as part of a club or groups specifically for disabled people or, more frequently, alongside their non-disabled friends and family.https://www.britishcanoeing.org.uk/courses/paddle-ability
